Hello and welcome, fans of the low-end!

Have you always wanted to learn to play bass, but don’t know where to start? Or have you been playing bass for years, but you feel like you’ve reached your plateau? Or are you just looking for inspiration, or are you just being nosey?

This website is an ongoing endeavour to give you a wealth of information regarding all things bass ALL IN ONE PLACE!

Whether you are thinking of picking up the mighty Bass or whether you are a fully-fledged professional bass player…

this is the place to find things you could want or need and even things of which you didn’t think you would want or need.

Just to re-iterate I am by no means an expert in bass, though I have played the instrument for a fair few years and absolutely love it!

I started out playing guitar, as I thought that was the way it was done, to get a feel and learn the fretboard. I have never had any formal training and I still can’t read music either, other than on my recorder, which I got for my 12th birthday, even though I specifically asked my parents for a BASS!

I literally learned by watching and listening to other bass players. I’m sure some of you recognise your younger selves there. I tried to copy their bass lines, little licks, ghost notes, the way you position your fingers etc.

If you have any suggestions as to what should be added to the site, which may be useful to the rest of us here, at the low end, or if you find any of the information is incorrect, we would love to hear from you! 🙂
